The latest batshit crazy conspiracy theory involving the 2020 election that’s coming from supporters of President Donald Trump is that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) was involved in stealing millions of votes from the incumbent president.

During an appearance on Fox Business, Sidney Powell (who also represents confessed liar Michael Flynn) the lawyer asserted that Trump won the election by “millions of votes” and that voting software manufactured by Dominion Voting Systems had been “designed to rig elections” and the campaign now has “so much evidence I feel like it’s coming in through a fire hose.”

Host Maria Bartiromo asked Powell:

“You feel that you’ll be able to prove this? Do you have the software in your possession? Do you have the hardware in your possession? How will you prove this?”

Powell responded:

“Well, I’ve got lots of ways to prove it, Maria but I’m not going to tell on national TV what all we have. I just can’t do that.”

But it was what Powell said next that proves she wears a tinfoil hat to bed and it’s been cutting off the circulation to her brain. She asserted that U.S. intelligence hasn’t been keeping a close eye on election security and the threat posed by Dominion:

“Nobody in our government has paid any attention to it, which makes me wonder how much the CIA has used it for its own benefit in different places.  Why Gina Haspel is still there in the CIA is beyond my comprehension. She should be fired immediately.”

Of course, Powell didn’t explain why she was suddenly blaming the CIA, but it’s clear that her remarks are just part of the larger narrative coming from Trump and his campaign: Donald couldn’t have lost because he had such huge rallies and the American people love him.

Donald Trump is a loser. He’s a terrible businessman who has gone bankrupt numerous times and lost the 2020 race by a huge margin.

Powell, on the other hand, is just another kook trying to make a buck off lying to the other conspiracy theorists who support Trump no matter what he says or does.
