Trump voters, by and large, are so damn stupid and gullible that they were under the impression their political savior would actually give a crap about them and not do anything that might permanently screw up their lives.

Boy, were they ever wrong!

D’Ann Loop of Brownsville, Texas, is one of those Trump acolytes who recently discovered that the Donald’s oft-promised border wall would mean her house winds up on the Mexico side of the divide. And she’s downright pissed off, telling CNN:

“I was very angry, I just kept saying, how can they do that? How is that possible in the United States that they can do this? They put up a fence in front of our land and then keep us in here — lock us in. I didn’t understand. I was very — I was floored and flabbergasted.”

Loop’s family lost half of their farmland ten years ago when a court ruled part of their property was on the Mexico side of the border, and that, in conjunction with the recent realization the rest of their land would soon be gone, left the Loops confused and angry:

“It left us no property on the U.S. side of the border wall, including my house. Everything was behind — on the Mexican side of the U.S. border fence.”

Her husband, Ray Loop, added:

“You punch your code in or you come behind the border wall, there is a feeling of isolation.”

Thousands of property owners could face the same bad news that they either have to sell their land to the government or find their homes taken under eminent domain. Others might be like the Loop family and wake up to discover they now live in Mexico.

Pat Bell of River Bend, Texas, said she voted for Trump but doesn’t support the proposed border wall:

“Absolutely I would go to the people who are in charge and, you hate to say I would get a lawyer, but if it comes to that issue, you would.”

Guess these folks should have given some thought to the matter before they cast their ballot for a man who cares only about himself.
