Granted, we’ve known for over a decade that former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is an insufferable jackass who will say or do anything for attention, but what he said yesterday on ABC’s This Week may wind up in the hall of fame for sheer ignorance.
Host Martha Raddatz quoted Newt Gingrich to Giuliani, and then asked the logical question as a result:
“‘The current race is which of these two is the more unacceptable, because right now, neither of them is acceptable. Trump is helping her to win by proving he is more unacceptable than she is.’
“Is that the way you see it?”
Giuliani shifted into full right-wing blame mode and tried to place it all on the media:
“I think her comments — Hillary’s comments — just don’t get the same attention that Trump’s do. For example, she lied to a Gold Star mother. She lied to pre — Patricia Smith, the mother of Sean Smith, who — who was killed at Benghazi, I believe, because of her incompetence, her incompetence in failing to secure that mission. And she lied to her on September 14th, 2012, right at the coffin. She said it was due to a video. So I think that’s far more serious or at least it said get as much attention as all of the attention that was paid to, you know, the comments that were made about the Khan family.”
Ah yes, now we’re back to Benghazi, which has been investigated, then investigated again, and followed by investigations of the investigation, none of which proved that Clinton did anything wrong in the whole situation. When in doubt, Republicans always zero in on Benghazi and emails, even though Clinton was cleared on both. Shows you how desperate they are and also proves they know Trump is going to lose come November.
Rudy Giuliani may have been a pretty good mayor back in the day, but now he’s just another hack for the GOP, hellbent on trying to smear a woman he knows Republicans have little or no chance of beating.

I agree with 95% of what you say Andew, but what makes you think Guliani was a “great Mayor back in the day?” He was the same hack then that he is now.
