Clearly, Rudy Giuliani has been hanging out way too much with Donald Trump, because the crazy has started to rub off on him.

Today on State of the Union, there Rudy was again, doing his best to pretend that the multiple accounts of Trump sexually assaulting simply cannot be true. So host Jake Tapper just got right to the point and asked Giuliani:

“Do you believe every one of these women is lying?”

The former mayor of New York replied:

“No, I believe my friend Donald Trump when he tells me he didn’t do it. I’ve never seen him do anything like that.”

You’ve never seen Donald Trump, a pathological liar, lie to you, Rudy? Really?! Were you recently involved in a car crash in which your head burst through the windshield and struck a concrete block?

Giuliani then admitted he had not investigated the claim of every woman who has accused the GOP nominee of kissing, groping, or manhandling them. Instead, he directed his claims on Jessica Leeds, who said Trump sexually assaulted her on an airplane in the early 1980’s:

“There is an independent witness who says it’s not true.”

To that assertion, Tapper reminded Giuliani:

“That guy who used to procure underage [girls]? That former pimp guy?”

Tapper was referring to Anthony Gilberthorpe, who has admitted to procuring underage boys for sex parties with British politicians, and says he was on the same flight with Leeds and Trump. Giuliani, a former prosecutor, tried to put a positive spin on the whole affair by commenting:

“You don’t pick who the witnesses are.”

True enough, but you also don’t just tacitly accept what a sleazeball like Anthony Gilberthorpe says when he starts spouting off about something he can’t prove, either.
