WATCH Trey Gowdy Say Devin Nunes Never Talked About Russia With Trump–P.S. Nunes SAID HE DID!

Republicans sure are forgetful these days, aren’t they? Whether it’s any number of Trump administration officials saying they never met with any Russians (they did) or the Fabricator-in-Chief claiming he didn’t actually say that President Obama wiretapped him (he said it, doubled down on it, and then turned it into a talking point), there’s a lot of amnesia sweeping through Washington, D.C., if you have an “R” next to your name and title.

The latest poor victim of this mass amnesia is our old friend Trey Gowdy, the GOP Congressman and person with the most bizarre looking head in North America.

Appearing on Face the Nation Sunday morning, an often testy Gowdy was asked by host John Dickerson:

“Has he [Nunes] shown you any of what caused him to suggest that Obama officials doing surveillance captured some Trump campaign associates and unmasked them in the process of investigating?”

No, Gowdy admitted, he hadn’t seen any information that Nunes gave to Trump, but he then added:

“I’ll just tell you this. My understanding is Chairman Nunes briefed the commander-in-chief on matters unrelated to the Russian investigation. So, if that’s a big deal in Washington, then we’ve sunk to a new low.”

That’s complete bullshit from Gowdy, but Dickerson followed up with this observation:

“I guess Congressman Schiff would say, ‘But the president is the one who is a part of this investigation being done by the committee.’ So then the chairman shouldn’t be talking to him.”

When in doubt, always make sure to double down on your lie, which is exactly what Gowdy did:

“Well then let me repeat what I said. The chairman of house intel briefed the commander-in-chief on something that has nothing to do with the Russia investigation. So if the commander-in-chief cannot be briefed by the chairperson of the house intel committee on a matter that had nothing to do with the FBI investigation, then I don’t know what they can talk about, John.”

Let’s take a moment to examine what Nunes said when he admitted he had discussed the “wiretapping” matter with Trump and also revealed that the illegitimate president might have been inadvertently surveilled as a result of other figures who were under investigation:

“I felt I had a duty and obligation to tell him because as you know he’s been taking a lot of heat in the news media. I think to some degree there are some things that he should look at to see whether in fact he thinks the collection was proper or not.”

Just as he did with his bogus Benghazi committee, Trey Gowdy will say anything in a vain, self-serving attempt to prove that he has some credibility (he has none at all; never will) and is the least bit relevant. He’s a worthless hack who needs to be voted out of office.
