If you happened to miss last night’s hour-long MSNBC town hall with Donald Trump (and who could blame you if you did?), then you also didn’t see Trump make an utter and complete dunce of himself when he was asked a simple question by co-host Mika Brzezinski. Ms. Brzezinski said she would read a description of a 2016 candidate and Trump could reply who he thought she was referring to. Here’s the description she used:
“The candidate is considered a political outsider by all the pundits. He’s tapping into all the anger of the voters, delivers a populist message. He believes everyone in the country should have healthcare. He advocates for hedge fund managers to pay higher taxes. He’s drawing thousands of people at his rallies and bringing in a lot of new voters to the political process, and he’s not beholden to any super PAC. Who am I describing?”
Trump, thinking he was about to hit the proverbial baseball out of the ballpark replied:
“Or any special interests or any donors. You’re describing Donald Trump.”
Not quite, Donald. Brzezinski then told the man with a hamster on his head:
“Actually, I was describing Bernie Sanders.”
The audience laughed and Trump seemed more than a little taken aback, but he tried to recover by adding:
“He knows that our country is being ripped off big-league— big-league–on trade. The problem is he can’t do anything about it.”
No, the problem, Sir Donald of Trump, is that you are a complete and utter idiot and egomaniac who thinks the world revolves around you. And your “solution” to every problem is that you’ll have something “great” to take care of what ails America. But what ails America are predatory capitalists like you who make billions off the sweat and toil of others. Your act is wearing really thin, Donald. So is what’s left of your brain.
