How delusional is GOP nominee Donald Trump and the staff that works for his campaign? Well, one of them compared Trump’s failed Trump University to Harvard this morning on CNN, so that kinda says it all, doesn’t it?
Trump spokesperson Katrina Pierson–who may well be just as annoying as her boss–was discussing the recent comments Trump made about a federal judge in the case filed by former Trump University students. Specifically, Trump remarked:
“I think Judge Curiel should be ashamed of himself. I think it’s a disgrace that he’s doing this. The judge, who happens to be, we believe, Mexican…I think the Mexicans are going to end up loving Donald Trump.”
CNN host Alisyn Camerota questioned why Trump had brought the judge’s ethnicity into the matter:
“Katrina, ‘We believe he’s Mexican,’ what is that?”
But Pierson decided to make a ludicrous comparison that is still difficult to believe, saying that suing Trump University is:
“Like saying if you graduate from Harvard and you don’t have the same outcome in your profession as everyone else, you should sue Harvard. And that’s just simply absurd.”
WTF?! Did she just say that? Camerota told Pierson:
“All sorts of things were over promised, that Donald Trump was going to playing a more active role than he was, that there was more of a rate of job success than really was true.”
This led Pierson to attack the judge in the Trump U case:
“I think what is really interesting about this particular judge — as Mr. Trump refers to him as a Trump hater — is he even mentions on his judicial questionnaire that he was a La Raza lawyers association member. This is an organization that has been out there organizing these anti-Trump protesters with the Mexican flags, they are pushing it, these signs have been very apparent.
“And so, Mr. Trump is just stating the obvious.”
Camerota was ready for Pierson, informing her:
“But this judge isn’t Mexican. He was born here. He’s American.”
And like Trump himself, Pierson began trying to backtrack and lie her way out of the mess she was in:
“I’m not saying he’s Mexican.”
Camerota:
“But Mr. Trump is saying he’s Mexican.”
Once more Pierson tried to bring up the La Raza issue, arguing that the judge in the case “is connected to that.”
Perhaps, Camerota said, but:
“You recognize — you’re saying Mr. Trump was wrong.”
Pierson tried again to do damage control:
“I don’t know if he’s Mexican. I don’t know his heritage or his descent.”
That’s when Camerota slammed the interview door closed, telling the daft Pierson:
“Okay, for the record, he’s American”
Watch for yourself. It’s always fun to see a Trumpite get schooled:
