Weasely Priebus Says We Should Take Trump ‘Seriously’ When He Calls Media ‘The Enemy’ (VIDEO)

This week, Donald Trump said the media is the enemy of the American people. That’s to be expected since Trump is a bully, a narcissist, and a pathological liar. He cannot stand for anyone or any institution to criticize or fact-check him. But he’d best get used to it because should he manage to stick around without being impeached, he’s signed up for a full four years of the press reporting his every tweet, utterance, or lie. If he can’t handle it, he needs to go ahead and resign now.

Appearing Sunday on Face the Nation, chief of staff and prime weasel Reince Priebus was asked if the media should take Trump’s comments seriously and now consider that the alleged president does indeed see them as the enemy. The nasal-toned wimp replied:

“Well, I think you should take it seriously. I think that the problem we’ve got is that we’re talking about bogus stories like the one in the New York Times, that we’ve had constant contact with Russian officials. The next day, the Wall Street Journal had a story that the intel community was not giving the president a full intelligence briefing. Both stories grossly inaccurate, overstated, overblown, and it’s total garbage.”

Fair enough, but don’t just tell us the stories are “bogus,” Reince. Give us proof that they aren’t true. After all, it’s been clearly established that former National Security Adviser Mike Flynn had improper contact with the Russian ambassador. Hell, that’s why Trump made him resign. And we also know that the intel community is not the least bit happy with Trump and his constant criticisms of them being less than loyal. If you have evidence to the contrary, lay it on the table and allow us all to examine it. Otherwise, you’re just playing the old Kellyanne Conway “alternative facts” game, and anyone can make things up. Your boss does it every three seconds.

See, no one who works in the media and reports on this administration gives a flying shit if Trump likes or respects us. That’s irrelevant. But if he wants to declare war on us and attempt to stir up violence against us, then we too will double down and vow to prove that he is not who he claims to be.

So, Donald and Reince, you can expect lots more of the same. And if it bothers you so much, maybe you should realize you’re too thin-skinned for this line of work and slink home. The enemy has spoken.

Here’s Reince trying (and failing) to be a tough guy:
