In recent weeks, the state of North Carolina has been in the news quite a lot, and not for good reasons. The North Carolina legislature passed an incredibly restrictive bill which allows for discrimination against LGBT residents and also mandates that no city or town is allowed to pass their own legislation which would prevent such discrimination. It is estimated that the passage of this bill may have already cost the state in excess of $30 million dollars.
And now we have some supposed Christians in the state deciding to tell a waitress who served them in a restaurant that she should die because she happens to be gay.
Alexandra Judd, who works as a waitress at Zada Janes, reports that a group of ‘Christians’ left her something other than the customary monetary reward which is normally given to someone when they wait on you hand and foot and make your dining experience more pleasant. In lieu of the tip, the bigoted dillholes left this note on the check:
“Lev. 20:13. Praying for you.”
Leviticus 20:13 reads like this:
“If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.”
Judd had this to say about the hateful note that was left for her:
“I’ve heard of people leaving fake money, or writing funny stuff in the tip spot of a check. But [I] never believed it would happen to me, in the way that it did.”
“I never expected a hateful gesture like this. I’ve had a guest leave me a pamphlet to their church as a tip one time, but I didn’t feel as if they were being hateful towards me. The ladies that came in were very rude, and would hardly talk to me – but I never expected this.”
As a bit of poetic justice, Judd posted a photo of the receipt on her Facebook page with this note:
“Don’t pray for me darling, I have everything I could possibly want and need in my life.”
