The Trump-Russia investigation may be about to reach critical mass, with a former White House staffer for President Bill Clinton revealing that sources in the know have told him warrants have been signed and issued by a federal judge and two grand juries are currently meeting on the matter.
Claude Taylor, who worked on three presidential campaigns and was a member of the Clinton administration, revealed what he has learned:
I now have 2 sources within legal community confirming that a D.C. area judge has signed 2 warrants related to Comey's Trump investigation.

Taylor also noted that Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley’s attempt to discredit sources in the Trump-Russia investigation could eventually blow up in his face:
Quite so but it all doesn't matter because Comey is preparing indictments and Schneiderman too. Grassley will appear foolish is short order. https://t.co/2J5ingSYgv

All of this has led Taylor to conclude that the investigation is at a critical stage and Trump could wind up utterly destroyed:
Leaving Comey aside for a moment-Schneiderman NYAG Schneiderman is going to descend like Hand of God. Trump may die penniless and in jail. https://t.co/CPE8DyXz76
— Claude Taylor (@TrueFactsStated) May 3, 2017
NYAG Schneiderman is New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, who has also been investigating Trump and the Trump campaign. And Taylor added that the latest attempts by Republicans to derail the Congressional investigation don’t really matter because the case is now in the hands of law enforcement and prosecutors:
Smoke and mirrors. Republicans trying to distract with bs. It won't matter. Comey has tapes/records. Plus Schneiderman. This is irrelevant.

Previously, on April 28, Taylor said he had learned that two grand juries had been convened in the case and one was almost complete with its work:
This just in from a source with knowledge of Comey's investigation. "two grand juries have convened and I know that one is almost complete."

Back to the warrants. What might those consist of and be aimed at? Andrew C. Laufer, who is an attorney, said the warrants could either be arrest warrants or to compel evidence as part of a (GJ) grand jury investigation:
It can be a couple of things. First, it can be GJ Subpoenas to compel prod of evidence/witnesses to GJ. They can also be arrest warrants. https://t.co/NI57xZiFHU
— Andrew C Laufer, Esq (@lauferlaw) May 3, 2017
Some have suggested that Taylor is merely dealing in speculation, but he refutes that:
A new term people have latched on to. "Getting ahead of your skis". I am rock solid on "two warrants being signed" tweets. 2 sources. 1/2
— Claude Taylor (@TrueFactsStated) May 3, 2017
When might those warrants be served? Taylor admits he has no information in that regard:
I do not have a specific timeline. I am skeptical of those who say they do-but everyone is free to try to exercise their own judgement. 2/2
— Claude Taylor (@TrueFactsStated) May 3, 2017
Now the only thing that remains to be seen is who or what the warrants might be aimed at. Could they be to search White House computers or the personal devices of Trump campaign staffers? Could Michael Flynn or Carter Page soon be arrested? We won’t know until it happens, but it certainly sounds as if the case is heating up behind the scenes.
