Ivanka Says Employees Should Be Hired Based On Their ‘Skills’ And Gets The Mockery She Deserves

Proving that irony is indeed dead in the Age of Trump, Ivanka Trump, who serves as a senior adviser to her father, the president, is heading up what’s being called a new White House initiative that will supposedly favor “skills over degrees” in the hiring of federal employees.

In connection with an executive order signed by the president, Ivanka released a video online explaining the new program, which, according to USA Today:

“Will overhaul the government’s hiring practices so that a job applicant’s skills will be given priority over a college degree.

“Administration officials say the shift will allow the government to hire a more inclusive workforce based on skill instead of a person’s education level.”

Ivanka proudly told reporters at a press conference:

“This will ensure that we’re able to hire based on talent and expand our universe to qualified candidates and ensure a more equitable hiring process.

“The federal government will no longer be narrowly focused on where you went to school, but the skills and talents that you bring to the job.”

Skills? Interesting concept, especially when you consider that the only jobs Ivanka has held during her life were dependent upon her name and who her father is, not any skills or talent she might possess. And that’s exactly what Twitter users told the First Daughter:

Ah, Ivanka! Even if you’re totally useless (and you are), at least you’re good for a laugh. And by the way, we’re laughing AT you, not with you.
