Donald Trump is terrified of what may happen when voters go to the polls in November, so once again he’s actively trying to rig the 2020 election to make sure he beats whoever the Democrats nominate to face him.
If you want proof that Trump is already working to guarantee that he wins reelection, look no further than a report from the Washington Post, which details why the president is suddenly replacing acting Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Joseph Maguire because one of Maguire’s deputies dared give a briefing to the House Intelligence Committee regarding election security in 2020:
“Maguire had been considered a leading candidate to be nominated for the post of DNI, White House aides had said. But Trump’s opinion shifted last week when he heard from a GOP ally that the intelligence official in charge of election security, who works for Maguire, gave a classified briefing last Thursday to the House Intelligence Committee on 2020 election security.”
Add to that what the New York Times has to say on the 2020 election: That Russian President Vladimir Putin is working to make sure that Trump gets a second term in office:
“Intelligence officials warned House lawmakers last week that Russia was interfering in the 2020 campaign to try to get President Trump re-elected, five people familiar with the matter said, in a disclosure that angered Mr. Trump, who complained that Democrats would use it against him.”
In case you’re wondering, Trump is replacing acting DNI Maguire with Richard Grenell, the current ambassador to Germany. Grenell is a political hack with zero experience in the field of intelligence and is best known for trolling people he disagrees with on Twitter.
The 2020 election is under attack. The question that now needs to be asked is what we plan to do about it and what exactly Congress is willing to do to make sure Donald Trump doesn’t steal yet another election.
