You’ve gotta give it to the brainless hacks who work at Fox “News.” They’re fully committed to the cause of defending Donald Trump, no matter what.
Fox’s worship of Trump was in full view Wednesday morning on Fox & Friends, where the average IQ of viewers is somewhere between a tree stump and a concrete block.
A segment hosted by co-host Ainsley Earhardt focused on a new course being taught at San Diego State University. The title of the course is “Trump: Impeachment, Removal or Conviction?” Her guest was a student at SDSU, Brandon Jones, who told Earhardt:
“I think the dangerous part of it is that they are making a very strong claim that the president has sort of committed crimes of treason or bribery and that he is, you know, been allegedly accused of violating the Article 2 Section 4 of the Constitution.”
Jones is clearly unfamiliar with another section of the Constitution known as the First Amendment. Under it, students, professors, or anyone else can debate and discuss the impeachment of the president.
Earhardt said she was upset that the course didn’t offer a counterpoint:
“They are claiming that they don’t give an option of innocence. They say ‘Trump impeachment, removal or conviction.’ It’s not Trump, guilty or innocent. They have already convicted him here, right?”
Jones then started whining like a spoiled three-year-old:
“Their message is very clear, and we see this all the time. College campuses, especially San Diego State University, there is tons of liberal bias and it’s honestly not surprising, unfortunately.”
Liberal bias? Is Jones such a delicate little daffodil that he needs to be protected from the big bad liberals on his campus? If so, maybe he needs to transfer to Bob Jones or Liberty University where he can rub elbows with his fellow right-wing jerkweeds.
Near the end of the interview, the Trump-worshiping Jones also declared:
“I mean, it’s clear — his name is in the title. It’s very clear what the message is this course is sending. Look at the required textbook, it was written by a liberal nutjob on the East Coast. His message is very clear as well. This course is to go after President Trump, and unfortunately, they can, you know, spew their talking points all they want but I’m not buying it.”
Hey, it’s called the free market, kiddo. If you don’t like the course, then don’t enroll in it. Go find a seminar on Mein Kampf or The Art of the Deal. No doubt your orange savior would approve of either.
