Mika Brzezinski’s Emotional Response To Huckabee’s Nazi ‘Oven’ Comment Is Perfect

Mike Huckabee has been receiving massive amounts of criticism from across the political and religious spectrum for his comments to Breitbart News in which he said:

“This president’s foreign policy is the most feckless in American history. It is so naive that he would trust the Iranians. By doing so, he will take the Israelis and march them to the door of the oven.”

Yes, he actually compared the Iran deal with the Holocaust. And I think we all know this definitively proves Mike Huckabee will never be more than a TV propagandist for Fox News.

Earlier today on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, co-host Mika Brzezinski offered a touching, emotional response to Huckabee’s incredibly callous and insensitive comments. She began by saying:

“Oh God. I had not read it (the remarks) until this moment and I am horrified.”

Later in the broadcast, Brzezinski said what many of us thought when we first read Huckabee’s comparison:

“Here’s the response that I have to Huckabee’s comments. If you’ve been to Auschwitz, if you’ve been to Birkenau, if you’ve been to any of these places where people were killed and you see the piles of glasses, the piles of hair, the piles of shoes and the piles of clothes. And every bit of their humanity that had to be stripped away, handed over as they went and burned to their deaths among other things, it’s really not a good comment to say.”

I have indeed been to what remains of Auschwitz, and I agree completely with Ms. Brzezinski. Millions of human beings were erased from the face of the Earth merely because they were of the Jewish faith. To see and feel the ground where they were obliterated is to experience the dark weight of pure evil pressing on your soul.

Brzezinski finished with this, and she is to be applauded for having the guts to say it:

“It’s a deal breaker! It should be over for him. You don’t say that. And by the way, if you said it by mistake, that’s a sign of who you really are. That’s all I have to say. You wanted me to say it on the air. I just did.”

Mike Huckabee, you not only owe the world an apology, you should also drop out of the race as penance for your remarks. And yet, somehow even that doesn’t seem like enough.
