Not even 48 hours after Sarah Palin took the stage in Iowa in an attempt to give an Iowa bounce to Donald Trump’s poll numbers, she and her newest political infatuation have sent out a fundraising email asking for money that will defray the costs of Palin’s travel expenses as she campaigns with Hamster Head.
Keep in mind, Palin is a millionaire and Trump has at least a billion of his own. Yet they want others to pay the freight for Palin’s escpades? Talk about nerve!
Here’s the email sent out by Palin’s personal PAC:
Are you freaking kidding me?! Granted, we all know that Palin is among the worst grifters to ever walk the face of the earth, but she needs to beg money just so she can give some more of her nonsensical speeches? Why doesn’t she just ask Big Daddy Donald to come up off a few million and buy her a private jet while she’s at it?
What’s more, Palin is also known to waste the majority of the money in SarahPAC. As Open Secrets documented perfectly in 2014:
“What did SarahPAC spend most of its money on, then, in the third quarter? Many of the same consultants she has used all along — for speechwriting, fundraising, logistics and research. There’s even someone paid to consult on ‘coalitions.’ Travel, presumably for Palin, is part of the equation; a PAC like this is useful for keeping a high profile nationally without having to pay those pesky airline and hotel tabs out of personal funds. And the PAC sent $10,885 to HarperCollins — publisher of all three of Palin’s books — for ‘books for donor fulfillment.’ That wasn’t the only book purchase by the committee: A lump sum of $13,000 was listed as being spent for lodging, SUV rental, books for donors.’”
Palin and Trump are emblematic of what’s wrong with today’s GOP: They think they’re entitled to live opulently at other people’s expense and to hell with anyone who disagrees. They are the modern-day version of robber barons, and we can only hope they fade into history just as those rapacious vultures did.
