Question: Is it ever going to end? Are the self-righteous jerkweeds who cannot adjust to the Supreme Court’s ruling on same-sex marriage ever going to get a grip and just move on with their lives? Is that asking for too much?
Moron of the Day for today would be Newport Beach City Councilman Scott Peotter, who is upset because he claims gays have now stolen the rainbow from God. This idiot also said in a blast email he sent out that the rainbow was:
“God’s symbol that he wouldn’t destroy the world by flood again.”
Yes, it does indeed say that in the Old Testament, but what does that have to do with someone flying a rainbow flag?
While he was at it, Councilman Peotter also railed against the June 26 marriage equality ruling by the high court:
“I do find it interesting that the homosexual movement adopted the rainbow as their symbol, as it was God’s symbol that he wouldn’t destroy the world by flood again. Maybe they are wishful thinking.”
And maybe you are an ignorant heap of steaming horse dung, Councilman. No, strike the maybe in that sentence.
Peotter went on to add:
“The homosexual movement is taking a symbol that was meant for something else and is corrupting it for their use,” he told the Pilot. “The people that are out there criticizing me for [the email] are leading the cry for no name calling and tolerance, but they’re intolerant of any view but their own.”
Can you believe this guy wants to accuse someone else of being intolerant?
How many times do I have to tell the nutjobs on the right this one simple fact they seem to forget time and time again? We run the country by a Constitution, not by the Bible! That’s the way the Founding Fathers wanted it. And it’s the only sane and logical way to run any country.
