After months of endless denials that he knew there was a meeting between Russian agents and members of his campaign in June of 2016 at Trump Tower, we now have information from Donald Trump’s former attorney which suggests Trump was indeed in the loop when it comes to that meeting.

This, as they say, changes everything.

First of all, it proves yet again that Donald Trump is a liar. Of course, we already knew that, but the lie about the Trump Tower meeting also has a crime attached to it.

Mimi Rocah was an Assistant U.S Attorney in the Southern District of New York, and she told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell that the latest revelations are indeed game changers. Mitchell asked her:

“So what would be the significance if these reports are true about what Michael Cohen is supposedly asserting?”

Rocah’s response should send fear down the spine of every person associated with Trump or his administration:

“Andrea, it’s incredibly significant. I mean, this is huge.

“If the government can prove that Donald Trump knew about the meeting with the Russians ahead of time — knew at least generally the purpose of the meeting — and gave it the go-ahead, he is smack dab in the middle of a conspiracy to defraud the United States by the process of fair elections with the Russians.”

Conspiracy to defraud the United States. That’s a very serious crime that carries a minimum sentence of five years in prison; more if other crimes are associated with the charge.

Rocah went on to add:

“No one should underestimate how big this is, if it’s true, in terms of putting Trump in the middle of a criminal conspiracy.”

We have reached critical mass in the Russia investigation. Robert Mueller has evidence and witnesses that prove Donald Trump violated numerous federal laws. And that means he will be indicted and impeached in due time. The die has been cast. If Democrats take control of Congress come November, Trump’s days are numbered.
