Sarah Palin Calls Josh Duggar A ‘Sexual Predator,’ Then Blames It On Lena Dunham…WTF?!

Allow me to be perfectly transparent and up-front: I consider Sarah Palin to be one of the most ignorant people to ever walk upon the face of the earth. Her stupidity known no bounds, and she’s not shy about proving the depths of her inanity on a regular basis.

And now Ms. Palin has taken to Facebook to issue her thoughts on the Josh Duggar child molestation story which has been exploding on all forms of media over the past couple of weeks. First of all, Palin vents her anger at Lena Dunham, who admitted in a book that she and her sister played a prank on their mother when they were children that some would consider to be in poor taste. Palin begins her rant in all caps and states:

Oh good Lord. Is this really the way to deal with an issue like the one involving Josh Duggar? Try to deflect attention by pointing out someone else’s behavior? That’s a bit like an attorney standing before a jury and saying:

“Sure, my client killed twenty people, but we’ve all broken the law. How many of you have run a red light or gone over the speed limit? See, we’re all guilty of something.”

Palin then adds:

“I’m not defending the Duggar boy’s obvious wrongdoing over a decade ago. The main victim in any story like this isn’t the perpetrator, it’s the innocent ones so harmfully affected. I’m not an apologist for any sexual predator, but I’m sickened that the media gives their chosen ones a pass for any behavior as long as they share their leftwing politics. Case in point, they suggest Lena Dunham’s sexual assault on her sibling is cute, and she’s rewarded for it with fame and fortune. Meanwhile, they crucify another, along with an entire family.”

Ah, so it’s the media’s fault because Lena Dunham is a member of the so-called “left wing media,” and what she did was equal to what Josh Duggar did. Apple, please meet orange.

Palin, already having worked herself into a good old Alaska lather, concludes her post with this:

“Such obvious double standards applied to equally relevant stories underestimate the wisdom of the public, discredit the press, and spit on the graves of every American who fought and died for the press’s freedom.”

Wait a minute! How in the hell did we get from Josh Duggar molesting underage girls to the actions of the military? Last time I checked, one did not have anything whatsoever to do with the other. But that’s a typical Palin tactic: Wrap yourself in the flag and pretend you’re more patriotic than your critics.

Memo to Sarah Palin: Josh Duggar did a very bad thing. Period. Full stop. He should have been prosecuted for his actions. He deserves to be shunned by all of society. That is the bottom line, and all the ranting you want to do on Facebook will never change that fact. I realize you’re not accustomed to dealing in facts, but on this one you’re just wrong, and that’s the way it always is when you get on your tattered soapbox.

Face it, Sarah: No one cares what you think anymore, because you put so little thought into the act of thinking.
