Sen. Tammy Duckworth Flattens Tucker Carlson After He Accuses Her Of Hating America

Fox News host Tucker Carlson is a pathetic excuse of a so-called “journalist” and also a deeply racist and xenophobic piece of dung who makes no secret of how he worships the most disgusting policies that come out of the Trump administration.

But when Carlson decided he’d launch an attack on Iraq War veteran Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) on his show Monday evening, suggesting that she and other Democratic leaders “hate America,” he got utterly humiliated.

During his opening monologue, Carlson noted that Duckworth had said over the weekend that the country needs to have a “national dialogue” on whether or not statues of historical figures such as George Washington should be taken down. Washington, it should be noted, was a slaveholder.

That remark enraged Carlson, who responded with a personal attack on Duckworth, telling his viewers:

“You’re not supposed to criticize Tammy Duckworth in any way because she once served in the military. Most people just ignore her.

“It’s long been considered out-of-bounds to question a person’s patriotism. It’s a very strong charge and we try not ever to make it. But in the face of all of this, the conclusion can’t be avoided. These people actually hate America. There’s no longer a question about that. And yet paradoxically at the same time, they desperately want to control America more than anything. And that leads to the most basic of all questions, can you really lead a country that you hate?”

Keep in mind that Duckworth won the Purple Heart for serving her country and lost both legs in combat when the Black Hawk helicopter she was piloting was shot down by Iraqi insurgents.

And that’s exactly what the senator reminded Carlson of when she replied to him on Twitter:

Carlson, along with any other right-winger who wants to go after a true American hero like Sen. Duckworth, needs to remember that any coward can stand on the sidelines and throw rocks at the men and women and defend them from the many dangers that confront the United States. But until they volunteer and agree to put their own asses on the line, they have no right to try and question the patriotism of those who have actually made the ultimate sacrifice.
