Donald Trump loves to pretend that he’s a populist, a man of the people who loves his supporters and holds his rallies so he can be close to them.
The truth, however, is that Trump hates everyone other than himself, He’s a spoiled asshole who uses everyone that crosses his path.
Vice President Mike Pence’s former top Homeland Security adviser has pulled the curtain back on the real Donald Trump, and while what she says probably won’t change any minds among the hardcore Trump faithful, it reinforces what we’ve long suspected and proves that the current president is a complete douchebag.
Olivia Troye left the White House two months ago after serving as Pence’s point person on coronavirus. And now Troye says she will vote for Joe Biden in November, even though she’s been a Republican her entire life.
Troye is also speaking out on what she witnessed regarding the sort of person Trump is, noting that the president was only concerned about the virus because it might keep him from getting reelected and also revealed his true feelings about his voters:
“Towards the middle of February, we knew it wasn’t a matter of if covid would become a big pandemic, it was a matter of when. The president didn’t want to hear that because his biggest concern was we were in an election year and how was this going to affect what he considered his record of success. The truth is he doesn’t actually care about anyone else but himself.
“When we were in a task force meeting, the president said: ‘Maybe this Covid thing is a good thing. I don’t like shaking hands with people. I don’t have to shake hands with these disgusting people.’ Those disgusting people are the same people that he claims to care about.”

These disgusting people. That’s what Donald Trump thinks of his own supporters. They’re just so much cannon fodder for whatever disastrous decision he makes on any number of issues. In this case, he failed to protect the nation from a pandemic and over 200,000 Americans are now dead.
Disgusting people? There is no one on this planet more disgusting than Donald Trump.
