Oregon Militant Discovers Friend Drank Away Donation Money, Posts Whiny Video On Facebook

It certainly appears that esprit de corps among the Oregon militia members holed up at Malheur National Wildlife Refuge leaves a lot to be desired, and it may be negatively impacting morale among some of the wannabe tough guys.

Joe Oshaugnessy, an Arizona militiaman, has been burning up social media begging for donations to the cause and volunteers to join the effort. Yet it turns out that Oshaugnessy, known as “Capt. O” among the other pretend soldiers, bugged out of the compound on Wednesday–along with others–and is living in style at a local motel, where he is also getting his drink on.

In addition, other militiamen–suppposed to be able to live off the land–have been spotted in nearly Princeton, Oregon, dining at restaurants.

It’s enough to give a big bad militia dude a bit of a bad (and wimpy) name.

Jon Ritzheimer, an Arizona militiaman known for being fond of organizing anti-Muslim rallies and fundraising through his “Rogue Infidel” site, reportedly went to see Oshaugnessy at the motel and found him heavily intoxicated. This information came from Maureen Peltier, a disabled National Guard woman who alleges that she is the group’s “official spokeswoman.”

But the person most disappointed by Oshaugnessy’s actions would appear to be fellow militia member Cai Irvin, who posted a tearful, whiny video on Facebook in which he said:

“Ritzheimer did call me — he’s f*cking pissed, he’s mad, he’s upset. He told me to tell all of you that Joe Oshaugnessy is a deserter and a coward.”

Well, we already knew he was a coward. Anyone who takes over a federal building because he is upset with the government is by definition a gutless jerk.

Irvin went on to say:

“It’s like finding out there is no such thing as Santa. Come on, man.”

Does anyone have a tissue? I’m all verklempt. Talk amongst yourselves.

A few hours later, Irvin removed the video from Facebook, perhaps realizing how utterly pathetic he looked and sounded in it.

For his part, Oshaugnessy posted this response on social media:

“Because I have been vocal about not supporting the actions taken by the individuals inside the compound apparently they have desired to launch a smear Campaign against mee. Even though I am one of the only Patriots on the outside doing everything I can to try and prevent this from turning into another Wako [sic] And making sure to protect the safety of all involved. To what I say my reputation is sterling.”

Here’s a closer look at one of Cai Irvin’s previous video ramblings:
