Karma is a beautiful thing when it works against those who so proudly pour negativity and lies into the world. In other words, when it comes back and bites the butts of the jacknuts at Fox News and their GOP minions.
Over the past couple of months, the so-called “Center for Medical Progress” has been releasing videos which they claim show Planned Parenthood profiting from the sale of body parts from aborted fetuses. Fox News has shown every single one of these selectively edited pieces of right wing propaganda, with Sean Hannity being especially enraged by what is on the videos.
But what happens when you turn the tables on Fox and their Republican stooges? Well, the progressive group UltravioletAction has made their own video using existing footage of Hannity and 2016 GOP contender Mike Huckabee, and it’s an instructive lesson to the far right in how editing can make anything appear to be something it isn’t.
The video starts with this message:
“Anti-choice activists recently released a series of deceptively edited videos indicting Planned Parenthood. We thought we’d give them a taste of their own medicine.”
What you see next is Hannity reporting that Huckabee negotiated the sale of aborted fetus organs, and that the negotiations took place on Dancing with the Stars. Hannity then says that David Daleiden of the Center for Medical Progress selectively edited the videos, violated the law, and is not a journalist.
As the old saying goes: Turnabout is fair play.
Will this stop the far right and they media mouthpiece Fox News from engaging in what can only be called blatant misinformation under the guise of news? Probably not, but at least now they get to experience how it feels when the shoe is on the other foot.
Oh, and Mike Huckabee should drop out of the race and be indicted, because I’m pretty sure he broke some laws with his actions.
Wait a minute, you mean that never happened? But it must be true; I saw it on TV!
