Alabama Chief Justice Claims Satan Made Supreme Court ‘Destroy The Institution Of God’ (Video)

You might think the Chief Justice of a state Supreme Court would have enough decorum and good taste to keep his comments in check. But if you know anything at all about Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore, then you know that’s impossible for an asshat of his magnitude.

Still smarting over the U.S. Supreme Court’s approval of same-sex marriage nationally, Moore said Sunday to a church group that the Justices had:

“Destroyed the institution of God.”

Really? I didn’t know God was an institution in the first place. I was always taught that God is a deity. But you know what they say: You cannot hope to argue logic with a moron. Especially one as loopy as Roy Moore.

And Moore said he knows who is to blame for the high court’s ruling: Satan!

Which makes me wonder this: Is Moore channeling Dana Carvey playing the Church Lady, or is he really this deluded? My money’s on deluded.

Moore had some other far-fetched claims, and he went on to tell the church group:

“How do they come out now and say that marriage, which is ordained by God, doesn’t mean what it’s always meant, between a man and woman? Not between two men, two women, or three women and one man. See, they don’t have a definition. They’ve just destroyed the institution of God. Despite what they think, it’s not their doing. Satan drives us. He’s out there destroying everything God created including us as human beings.”

Then Justice Moore started rambling and spat out this garbage salad of imbecility:

“When you start teaching kids that they have the right to choose whether they are male or female. When you talk about three or four years old, you know what they think. They don’t know much. They may learn fast. And when they get in their mind they can be a man if they’re a girl or a woman if they are a boy, I don’t know what the end is going to be. Except it will come down to things like when you take your little girl to the girl’s bathroom and you wait outside and you see some guy with hairy legs going into that bathroom, what are you going to do? What are you going to do? Are you going to stand back and let that guy go in the bathroom with your little girl?”

The real reason Roy Moore was spouting off his usual litany of hateful bile: He has a book to sell, and he gladly stayed behind after his rantings to sign copies of So Help Me God. Only $20 a copy, and makes a great gift for all the fascists on your Christmas list.

Roy Moore: Hater, huckster, and embarrassment to the human race.
