Pouting Trump Refuses To Come Down From Bedroom And Greet Incoming House Republicans

It’s been said before and probably will be said several thousand more times before he vacates the White House willingly or by force, but Donald Trump has the emotional maturity of a child.

If you need further proof that the outgoing president is an overweight man-baby, consider what transpired Friday when newly-elected House Republicans were taken to the White House. It’s traditional for the president to greet the incoming members of Congress from his own party, but Trump was too busy pouting to perform one of his official duties, according to Politico:

“LAST NIGHT, (House Minority Leader Kevin) MCCARTHY’s staff took the newly elected Republicans to the White House. Masks were mandatory — even MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE wore it for most of the time. Utah GOP candidate BURGESS OWENS had his race called in his favor during the White House tour.

“INTERESTING TO NOTE: President DONALD TRUMP did not come down to meet the group. He did send his well wishes.

“IT HAS BEEN ONE WEEK since news organizations called the 2020 presidential election for JOE BIDEN. SINCE THEN, the president has largely been in hiding (while regularly tweeting) before making a brief appearance Friday afternoon in the Rose Garden to give an update on the coronavirus vaccine progress.”

Back in 2018, Eurasia Group President Ian Bremmer recalled how Trump acted during a meeting of the G-7:

“President Trump reportedly tossed Starburst candies to German Chancellor Angela Merkel during his tense meeting with Group of Seven (G-7) leaders weeks ago.

“Trump was sitting there with his arms crossed, clearly not liking the fact that they were ganging up on him. He eventually agreed and said OK, he’ll sign it. And at that point, he stood up, put his hand in his pocket, his suit jacket pocket, and he took two Starburst candies out, threw them on the table and said to Merkel, ‘Here, Angela. Don’t say I never give you anything.’”

What sort of man does that? The answer: A man doesn’t behave that way. A man acts like a grown-up and a president acts like a leader. But we don’t have a leader; we have an infant who has taken the form of an adult.

There are many reasons to be thankful that Donald Trump was overwhelmingly rejected by American voters. But one of the most important is that we need adults making the life or death decisions which face this country. No children need apply.
